Postcard From Oputia: Nowhere To Land
Oil On Board
40 X 50 cm
An oil painting in my fantasy "Postcard From Oputia" series. A mountainous rugged landscape, with a small aeroplane circling, with "nowhere to land". Perhaps the aeroplane is a metaphor for the impossibility of utopia, one can dream of it, maybe even glimpse it but there is no way to settle down there. Painted with the palette knife in oil on board, ready to be framed.
Oputia is not just about geography - this place has it's own culture, rituals and history. It's an interesting place to explore.
